Safety and peace of mind while parents finish work

Elementary and junior high students have a safe, monitored place to go while their parents finish work.

Playground

A time for students to take a break from learning to move and play.

This designated time gives students the time needed to transition from the school day into AfterCare.

Quiet Time

A time for students to choose between homework, reading, writing, drawing, or resting.

K-4th grade students and 5-8th grade students are separated into two groups.
K-4th graders may work on homework or choose to engage in quiet creative play. 5th-8th graders can use school laptops to work on homework and must remain on-task.

Choice Activities

A time to rest and build relationships with one another.

It will also be the last activity of the day before the last student gets picked up. Students can enjoy playing and having free time to be with their friends. Group games are also an option during this time and may include board games, active classroom games, stations (Legos, Toys, K’nex), coloring, reading, or completing homework.

Policy & Details

BCS partners with parents to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Any student not picked up from elementary or junior high by the assigned pickup time will be sent to AfterCare so that all students are accounted for and kept safe. Students cannot be picked up from school and then left unsupervised on the Bethel Church campus so it is of utmost importance that they check in to AfterCare.
