Aubrey Hastings joined the BCS staff in 2020, after completing two years at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. She moved to Redding from Texas, where she had been teaching since 2013. Aubrey earned her B.A. English degree with a minor in Political Science from Washington College in Maryland. She completed her teaching credential requirements through Teach For America – an AmeriCorp service program committed to providing opportunities of educational equity and excellence for all children in economically disadvantaged communities.
Aubrey believes in championing the God-given gifts and callings in children and teaching them ways to find God in all things. She believes in the importance of establishing a firm foundation in little ones owning their faith and aims to create a classroom culture in which there is space and opportunity given for children to learn the way(s) in which God is speaking to them personally. Her hope for her students is to impart a deep desire for friendship with Father God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit that will catalyst them into a lifetime of building a confident, trusting history with the Lord.
When she is not teaching, Aubrey enjoys heart conversations with friends (coffee cups in hand), reading books from her favorite authors, watching movies, and finding hidden gems at thrift stores.
