BCS welcomed Nicola Murphy on our teaching staff in 2018. She is teacher trained with eight years of classroom experience and holds Bachelor degrees in Tourism and Education. Nicola spent her last three years in New Zealand, writing and directing school productions, running glee clubs, choirs and art workshops in addition to classroom teaching. After completing three years of the Bethel Supernatural School of Ministry program in California, she helped to develop curriculum structures and content for Bethel Conservatory of the Arts and began working with them as the school’s Academic Advisor.
Nicola has a high value for excellence, quality teaching and student centered learning. She loves to see students come alive in their artistic discipline, collaborating with the Holy Spirit during the creative process and learning how to perform in His Presence, on and off stage. She observes that the skills students gained from specific training in the Arts spills over into all curriculum areas, affecting positive change. This prompted Nicola to shift from classroom teaching to the study and implementation of the Arts. She considers it one of her greatest privileges to be teaching content she is passionate about, with students who are yet to discover the hidden artistic talents they possess.
