Desari is an Oregon native, but has been happy to call Redding home since 2015. Desari earned her undergraduate degree from Eugene Bible College in 2008. A few years later, she decided to pursue her passion for education and attended George Fox University, and graduated in 2012 with her Master of Arts in Teaching. Prior to working at BCS, she taught upper elementary grades at an online charter school based in Oregon. Desari is passionate about teaching students as a whole person – mind, body, and spirit. She believes that learning occurs best in an atmosphere where relationships between students and the teacher are strong and rooted in love. She also believes that God is good all the time and Holy Spirit is the very best teacher. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys talking with Jesus, spending time with family and friends, reading, hosting themed parties, baking, a good cup of coffee, and laughing as much as possible. One of her greatest dreams is to travel more and experience different cultures. She hopes to someday visit every continent on Earth.
