Volunteer Parent Service
Support BCS with your volunteer service. Each family is committed to serve 30 volunteer hours per school year. Any adult family member (i.e. grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.) may serve to contribute to the 30 hours. A single parent serves 15 volunteer hours. Volunteer time is pro-rated only for families with a child(ren) in preschool. ( See Preschool Handbook. ) It is the responsibility of the parent to update RenWeb with their current hours. Another way for parents to serve is through participating in the Parent Intercession group that meets Friday mornings from 8:30-9:30AM in the school library. Prayer support is essential for the success of our school. We live in a spiritual battleground, and the battle must be fought with spiritual weapons. [Ephesians 6:13-20]
It is our desire and belief that Christian education should be affordable for any who would desire their children to be educated at Bethel Christian School. The reality is education is expensive and Bethel Christian School seeks ways to offset the cost through donations and annual fundraiser. Please consider making a donation or supporting one of the following fundraisers: $10 for 10 months, the Color Run or the Night of Music.
Donations are accepted to directly pay the cost of all or part of a student’s tuition or specialized school programs. Through generous individual’s donations many BCS students, whose parents could not afford the school, have been educated in this Christ centered environment.
10 for 10 campaign is a scholarship fund designed specifically to assist families who have an unexpected medical or financial crisis, along with single parents that are unable to meet the minimum school expenses. Persons who participate in this fundraiser sign up in September to donate a minimum $10.00 for 10 months. With many giving just a little there is a large benefit.
Color Run is a fun run in the fall for all students and parents. Students and participants sign up sponsors to support them in this event. Prizes are awarded to the fastest runners in the different grade levels and everyone gets color thrown on them as they run. The entire school joins in for a fun day filled with splashes of color and a free lunch. Prizes and food sponsorships are available to businesses and individuals that want to support this fun fundraiser.
